About TopFollow

TopFollow 5.5.2 is an unofficial Android app that promises extra Instagram followers and likes through an exchange system. It is not made or approved by Meta or Instagram, it is distributed outside Google Play, and using it can put your account at real risk, so read this before you look for a TopFollow download.

Quick facts

  • Version: 5.5.2
  • Developer: TopFollow (not Meta)
  • Platform: Android
  • Type: follower and like exchange for Instagram
  • Distribution: APK outside Google Play
  • Size: about 19.54 MB according to catalogue data
  • Status: unofficial third-party tool

How it works

Apps of this type run on coins. You earn coins by following, liking or viewing other users' profiles and posts, often through the app acting on your behalf, and then spend the coins to receive follows and likes from other members. Coins can also be bought. To do that, the app needs access to an Instagram account, usually by asking you to log in inside it. The result is not real audience growth: the accounts that follow you do so because they are paid in coins, not because they care about your content, and many unfollow as soon as the exchange is over. Instagram treats such coordinated activity as inauthentic behaviour. Its systems look for patterns like mass following, sudden bursts of likes and logins from third-party apps, and they respond with warnings, action blocks, hidden reach or account suspension.

Risks

  • Not official. TopFollow has no connection to Meta or Instagram.
  • Account restrictions. Inauthentic follows and likes violate Instagram's rules; accounts can be limited or banned.
  • Credential theft. Entering your Instagram password in a third-party app gives it control over the account.
  • Malware. APKs from outside Google Play can carry adware or spyware.
  • Worse reach. Fake followers lower engagement rates, which hurts how posts are shown.

If you want to test it anyway

  1. Never use your main account; create a separate test account.
  2. Run the app on a spare device or in a virtual one such as the Android Studio emulator.
  3. Do not reuse a password from any other service.
  4. Uninstall and revoke access in Instagram's security settings when you are done.

Safer ways to grow on Instagram

Use the official Instagram app from Google Play and its built-in tools: a professional account with insights, reels, collaborations with other creators, and paid promotion through Instagram itself if you want reach quickly. Real followers are slower to get but stay and interact.

Price

The app itself is distributed free; coins can be purchased inside it. Money spent there buys activity that Instagram may remove at any time.

Pros and cons

  • Pro: quick rise in follower count.
  • Con: followers are not real fans and often leave.
  • Con: breaks Instagram's rules on inauthentic activity.
  • Con: requires sharing your login with a third party.
  • Con: not available in Google Play.
